Onsite Registration (the day of the walk) will begin at 4 PM and the 1 mile walk will begin at approximately 8 PM. There will be performances, special guests, music, and refreshments all day. We rap up around 9 PM.

What is the BUDDY WALK?
Local children and adults with Down syndrome walk with their family, friends, and other supporters to promote Down syndrome awareness and acceptance. The day consists of a nice 1 mile walk, fun, fellowship, music, face painting, interactive water fountain, and lunch. This is a day to celebrate the Down syndrome community and to promote acceptance and inclusion. (For more information read our Buddy Walk (FAQ).
What is Down syndrome?
Down syndrome (DS) is a condition in which extra genetic material causes delays in the way a child develops, both mentally and physically. It affects about 1 in every 700 babies born in the United States.
The physical features and medical problems associated with Down syndrome can vary widely from child to child. While some kids with DS need a lot of medical attention, others lead healthy lives. The health problems that may go along with DS can be treated and many resources are available to help kids and their families who are living with the condition.

Step 1. Sign Up
Click on the button above to open our Buddy Walk page and register online. You can sign up to walk as an individual, join a team, or start a team of your own!
Our Buddy Walk video tutorials walk you through every step of registering yourself or your team for the walk, customizing your fund-raising page, and sharing it on Facebook, Twitter and email.
Step 2. Customize Your Online Team/Fundraising Page
When you register, you’ll automatically get a personal/team fundraising page where you can collect donations and recruit others to join your team. You can customize this page by editing text and uploading pictures. This makes getting new team members and collecting donations in support of the Buddy Walk easier than ever. See our tutorial videos for step-by-step instructions.
3. Spread the Word
Once your signed up you can share the direct link to your personal fundraising page by email, Facebook, or Twitter where your friends and family can go to make a donation on your behalf. Or encourage your friends on Facebook to participate in this year’s Buddy Walk too! Everyone is welcome. Our tutorial videos will show you how to easily share your page.
