Local children and adults with Down Syndrome, their families and friends, and many other supporters
will take to the street to promote Down syndrome awareness and acceptance.
We are looking to the community for participation and support again this year. Please plan to walk with us or help with donations for the walk and for the support group. www.active.com/donate/2010BuddyWalk or www.tcdownsyndromeag.org
Or mail a check (write the check to TCDAG) to P.O. Box 326 Hobe Sound, Fl 33475.
Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 to be able to sponsor families with conferences and seminars and to continue with “New Parent Packets” for distribution to the Hospitals and Doctors offices for families to learn about Down syndrome.
At this point we are not a 501c3 organization. We would like to partner with a 501c3 organization that has similar goals and paths to heighten the awareness of disabilities in the community. If we receive an EIN number prior to the event we will send it out to everyone. If you know of any organization that would be interested in partnering with us please let us know.

Teach your child with Down syndrome to read with eReadingPro.
Individuals with Down syndrome CAN become amazing readers! By teaching your child to read at a young age you will not only teach reading - you may even enhance speech! Not all children with Down syndrome will be able to commence reading at 6 months of age. However, it is important to understand that when you start 'early' you will not only benefit their reading skills, but also their speech and general communication skills. Whatever age your child begins to read, even if it is during their teen years, just know that it will allow a whole new world to open up to them!

A Special Thank You to Treasure Coast Early Steps Program of Port St Lucie, FL for sharing their resource list with us.
